"Rīgas satiksme" informs that, on 4 May, there will be changes in the operation of public transport schedules, parking lots and customer service centre.
Public transport (tram, trolleybus, bus)
On 4 May, the public transport (buses, trolleybuses, trams) will run according to the holiday schedule.
For the Day of the Restoration of Independence of the Republic of Latvia, additional bus, tram and trolleybus trips will be organised until 2:00 from the city center, on the following public transport routes:
FOR BUSES: route No. 2, 3, 11, the combined route No. 12, 23 and 26 (over Akmens bridge), 18, 24, 25, 37, 40, 50, 51, 52 and 52.
FOR TRAMS: route No. 4, 5, 6, 7, 10 and 11.
TROLLEYBUSES: route No. 9, 14, 15, 17, 18, 22 and 27.
Due to the expected increase of visitors at Lucavsala rest area, from 4 May to 7 May, the bus on route No. 40 will stop and pick up/set down passengers at the stop “Lucavsala” (the stop is located in the direction to Ziepniekkalns).
On 5 May, the public transport (buses, trolleybuses, trams) will run according to the Saturday schedule.
Tickets
On 4 May, citizens and visitors of the city can take trams, trolleybuses and buses free of charge.
Passengers who have purchased public transport cards for work days, please, note that, on 5 May, public transport cards intended for work days will not be valid for riding on the public transport. Whereas, on Saturday, 13 May, work day one-month tickets are valid for riding on the public transport.
Customer service centres
On 4 May, the working hours of the “Rīgas satiksme” customer service centre on 1 Spīķeri Street will be from 10:00 to 16:00, the other six customer service centres will be closed.
Please note that “Rīgas satiksme” customer service centre, on 49/53 Brīvība Street, will be closed on 5 May and 6 May. The working hours of the other customer service centres, on 5 May, will be as usual – until 19:00 and, on 6 May, the customer service centres will be open from 10:00 to 16:00.
On 13 May, the working hours of the “Rīgas satiksme” customer service centre on 49/53 Brīvība Street will be from 8:00 to 17:00, while other six customer service centres will work according to the holiday schedule, from 10:00 to 16:00.
During pre-holiday, 3 May, legal persons will be served in the customer service centre on 191 Brīvība Street from 8:00 to 14:30 and this customer service will be closed on 5 May.
On 12 May, legal persons will be served in the customer service centre on 191 Brīvības Street from 8:00 to 16:00, and, on 13 May, this customer service will be open from 8:00 to 14:00.
Parking lots
On 4 May, the services of Riga Municipality’s parking lots, which are serviced by “Rīgas satiksme”, will be free of charge, except for the underground parking lot on 5a K. Valdemārs Street, next to the Congress Hall – normal parking fees apply there.
Note that from 1 May to 30 September, the parking lot in Vecāķi (V-zone) is open, for a fee. The fee for using the parking lot, in the territory of the V-zone, is EUR 2 for the whole day; however, on 4 May, it will be free of charge.
On 5 May, the parking lot in the territory of the Old Town (R-zone) will be open from 06:00 to 24:00, for a fee, and in Vecāķi (V-zone) from 8:00 to 20:00, according to the existing tariffs. On 5 May, other parking lots will be open until 17:00 for a fee. The underground parking lot on 5a K. Valdemāra Street, next to the Congress Hall, will operate according to the existing tariffs.
On 13 May, the parking lot in the territory of the Old Town (R-zone) will be open from 6:00 to 24:00, for a fee, and in Vecāķi (V-zone) will be open from 8:00 to 20:00 according to the existing tariffs.
On 13 May, other parking lots will be open from 9:00 to 17:00, for a fee. The underground parking lot on 5a K. Valdemāra Street, next to the Congress Hall, will operate according to the existing tariffs.
On the Mother’s Day, 14 May, the services of Riga Municipality’s parking lots, serviced by “Rīgas satiksme”, will be free of charge except for the underground parking lot on 5a K. Valdemārs Street, next to the Congress Hall – normal parking fees apply there.
Minibuses
On 4 May, minibuses will run according to the Sunday and holiday schedule; on 5 May – according to the Saturday schedule; on 13 May – according to the work day schedule.
During the holiday week, night transport will be organised from 5 May to 6 May and from 6 May to 7 May.
